Staff Profiles

Michael Edwards
Michael Edwards has been practicing law almost exclusively in Sumner County since 1974. After graduating in the top ten of his class from the YMCA Night Law School (currently the Nashville School of Law), he was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1974. Prior to law school, Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Belmont University. He was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Michael and his wife Laura live in Gallatin, Tennessee on property he fondly refers to as the “farm.” He enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and taking care of the farm.

Russell Edwards
Russell Edwards has been with the Edwards & Edwards since 1998. He was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2003 after graduating from the Nashville School of Law. Russell attended Gallatin High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Russell has been married to Sara since 2000 and they have two children, Ella and Hayden. Russell is active in the community and currently serves on the board of directors of the Cumberland Valley Arc, which serves individuals with special needs. Russell enjoys running, biking, swimming and, most of all, spending time with his family.
Both Michael and Russell Edwards are licensed to practice in all Tennessee state courts, including the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Federal District Court, and the Sixth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.
